The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 173

“Crvena, you are taking this a bit too far,” said Shannon wishing she could jump on top of the table and strangle him to death. Their CP ship hadn’t started sailing yet Crvena was attempting to make their innocent shou give his first kiss to Evan?!

Nope, these ladies couldn’t accept it thus they protested. Zi Han who absolutely could not down those five shots alone decided to toughen up and do this.

Wasn’t it just a first kiss? It really wasn’t a big deal or something to make a fuss over. It seemed like he wasn’t such a sentimental person and took things with a light heart.

“Fine, but I would need to ask his consent first and if he refuses then you can only pick someone else,” said Zi Han as he got up to leave.

Crvena leaned back in his seat and lazily placed his hand on the backrest while saying, “He won’t.....”

Zi Han’s eyebrows creased slightly as he stared at Crvena with slight suspicion. Why was he that confident that Evan won’t refuse? Something was definitely up.

He decided to let it go for now and approach Evan. The guy was standing out by the pool arguing with some girl who was in the water.

Zi Han couldn’t make out what the whole argument was about he just dodged to the side when a large splash of water was sent in their direction.

.....

Evan hadn’t noticed Zi Han standing behind him thus when he turned around to run away from the huge water splashes by that girl he bumped into Zi Han and the two tripped.

Lucky for them Zi Han was incredibly sturdy. He stopped them just in time. Evan held both of Zi Han’s arms as he apologized incessantly. “I am so sorry. So so sorry. Are you hurt?” he asked while checking if Zi Han was okay.

Zi Han was a little awkward at this moment recalling why he was here. He just nodded his head as his gaze glanced over at the group of people with their gazes plastered at the floor-to-ceiling windows watching them.

Thinking he should hurry this along before Crvena starts drawing everyone’s attention he cleared his throat before saying, “We are playing a game with those guys and Crvena dared me to kiss you.”

Evan, “???”

He glanced over in his friend’s direction and was at a loss. He told him some things in confidence but he didn’t think Crvena would use this method to force Zi Han’s hand.

It seemed they needed to have a long discussion as soon as they left this party. “I, I don’t mind but... if you are being forced then we can_,” he said but he was abruptly cut off when Zi Han said,

“Come on, it’s just a light peck. It’s not a big deal.” Now that Zi Han had said that then Evan wouldn’t be polite.

He bit his lower lip and he was about to move closer when a frighteningly powerful force directly pushed him into the pool. With a loud splash, his body dove down to the bottom of the pool with everyone gasping with colorful expressions.

When Evan resurfaced he wiped the water off his swollen face his eyes glowing a vicious azure and his body covered with wisps of cyanish aura.

In his anger, he had awakened his spirit beast having engaged his mental power to its fullest extent. Above his head was a barely visible snow tiger with blue stripes growling in anger.

When he saw who had pushed him Evan was very unforgiving. He immediately got out of the pool and was prepared to fight Yi Chen but Yi Chen just stood there with a calm expression like this had nothing to do with him.

Crvena and a couple of Evan’s friends rushed over to stop him. They knew that nothing good could come out of provoking Yi Chen thus they stopped their good brother in time.

“Let go.... I am going to fuck him up. Shit, let go of me,” yelled Evan pointing at Yi Chen his tone aggressive.

Everyone was a little slow to react realizing who had pushed Evan into the pool. Yi Chen was always calm and rational. He never reacted impulsively and the only time he raised his fist was in the training room. But today he just lost his cool and directly pushed someone with great force at that.

Let alone others even Yi Chen couldn’t understand why he reacted that fast. He didn’t even think. All he knew was that when he saw those lips were about to touch he just rushed over and attacked Evan.

This kind of person wasn’t him. He never lost control and would always approach everything with logic and reason.

At that time he just felt a painful twist in his chest and the only way for him to get rid of it was to get rid of Evan. Seething in rage with a black mist covering his heart he flung his wrist and directly sent Evan flying straight into the pool.

Zi Han was a little confused at this moment. His mind was slightly chaotic but he calmed his mind and decided to smooth things over by talking some sense to Evan. That’s because the words he was using weren’t pleasant to his ears, especially the fact that they were directed at Yi Chen.

If they were directed at him he wouldn’t care much but because they were directed at Yi Chen he couldn’t bear it. He took a step forward but his wrist was suddenly caught by Yi Chen before he pulled him back.

Zi Han could feel Yi Chen’s hand shaking like he was restraining something. His gaze shifted towards Yi Chen’s face and their gazes met. With a hint of grievance in his voice, he said, “Don’t go.”

Zi Han licked his molars as though lost in thought. After a second or two he said, “Let’s go inside.” He needed Yi Chen to calm down he could only bring him inside and let him have a seat.

The two sat down and Zi Han raked his fingers through his hair trying to stop himself from asking why he was beating people unprovoked. He thought it was too soon and if he asks Yi Chen might get angry again thus the two sat in silence for a good while.

Unexpectedly, it was Yi Chen who broke the silence. In a low voice, he asked, “So were you just going to kiss him?”

Zi Han, “.....”

He stared at Yi Chen all wide-eyed but Yi Chen didn’t back down. He kept staring at him as though waiting for a response.

“Uh...,” mumbled Zi Han before he was interrupted by Yi Feng who was walking over with a tall tail behind him.
