Chapter 115 Mana Regen

\'\'What? \'\' Turning around, Raydon looked at the girl.

\'\'Hyeakk. \'\'

The sight of Raydon\'s ominous eyes, with his despise skill still active, caused the girls to lose all strength in their legs and fall to their knees as a wave of chilling fear washed over them.

The look in his eyes gave them a newfound comprehension of the meaning of the word "eat," which they had previously misunderstood.

As the girls trembled in fear of Raydon\'s murderous intent brought on by his hunger and the effect of the despise skill he used, he turned his back and muttered.

\'Shit, I\'ll start biting them if I stay here any longer. \' He then started to make his way toward the islet\'s shore.

\'\'This route should be fine. \'\' Raydon muttered, staring at the other islet only ten meters away from him. With the route he had mapped out in his head, he intended to travel to the biggest island he had previously seen, passing through the islets where the mobs were most prevalent.

He waited for the Flame Burst skill\'s cooldown to expire before stepping back and beginning to run towards the other islet in front of him.

\'\'Flame Burst. \'\'

Black fire once more erupted from beneath his feet as he leaped onto the following islet.

He waited here for a while, then jumped to the next islet because there weren\'t any mobs in this one either.

\'\'Let\'s start now. \'\' Raydon said, grinning at the serpent-like monster that had spotted him the moment he stepped foot on the land and was now wagging its tongue at him.

As he saw the green creature, which had the appearance of a snake but had two small, webbed feet on either side, running towards him, he drew his sword from his dimensional storage.

He then, chanted and waved the sword vertically in the direction of the approaching monster.

\'\'Spirit Wave. \'\'

Raydon activated the skill as he swung the sword, and the ominous aura covered the gray metal of the blade as it sped towards the monster in a slashing wave. The force of the blow slashed open the top of the monster\'s head, killing it instantly.

\'\'This skill is so cool,\'\' Raydon said, recalling a skill used by an anime character in his previous life.

\'\'It can also kill an F-Rank mob in a single hit. This ash-type mana has already surpassed my expectations.\'\'  He expressed his delight.

He had already discovered that ash-type mana strengthened death-type skills when he used the Despise skill. He also noticed that it had strengthened his fire-type skill, which was the Flame Burst he had just used.

\'\'I\'m curious if it only strengthens the death and fire types. What else might Ash be associated with? \'\' Raydon pondered.

Given how ash is created, the association of death and fire made sense, but he had a gut instinct that it was more than that.

While contemplating, Raydon pulled out his dismantling knife and started tearing apart the body of the snake. As he dismantled the snake\'s body, saliva started to come out of his mouth.

\'\'Can I eat this? Dude, I\'m really hungry. I need to figure out what I should eat or this feeling will drive me insane.\'\'

While Raydon was debating whether he should cut a piece of the snake\'s flesh and fry it before eating it with his Flame Burst skill, another snake emerged from the nearby bushes.

\'\'Damn, just give me a second so I can finally eat something,\'\' he said, before killing it with another Sprit Wave skill.

Raydon looked at the dead snake\'s body and sighed as he realized he had been wasting mana out of anger.

\'It is very cool and useful, but its mana cost is too high. \' Raydon pondered gloomily as he calculated the mana he had expended since the beginning of the match. He spent a total of 50 mana using the Flame Burst skill three times, the Despise skill once, and the Spirit Wave skill twice.

\'\'If I continue in this manner, my mana regeneration will not be sufficient to cover my expenses. Should I increase my stamina again? \'\'

Raydon was now losing 3.6 HP per minute as a result of Ashen Heart, while gaining an additional 1.8 MP per minute. If he were to increase his stamina even further, he would burn more HP and gain more MP regeneration.

After giving it some thought, Raydon spoke. \'\' Why am I saving experience points in the first place? I can\'t use it to level up since I need 1 million experience points to do so. \'\'

And he chose to invest the experience points in his stamina that he had been saving for unexpected events. At the very least, if his mana regen increased, he\'d be able to use his skills more frequently.

[Experience]: 10.708/ 1.000.000

\'\'Let\'s see how much stamina this will give me. \'\' He then started spending his experience points.

-Stamina

Cost: 253 exp.

Cost: 274 exp.

...

Cost: 318 exp.

*DING*

\'\'Good to know that a subskill apparently unlocks every ten stat points. Hahah \'\' Raydon knew exactly what the system message meant when his stamina reached 40, and he laughed with joy as he continued to increase it.

Cost: 380 exp.

...

Cost: 568 exp.

*DING*

\'\'Hahah, I really get a new sub-skill for every 10 stamina.\'\' When Raydon\'s stamina reached 50, he once more laughed enthusiastically and joyfully at the message he received, forgetting even his hunger.

...

Cost: 775 exp.

He stopped when he realized he was out of experience points for the next increase after using 775 experience points for the last one.

[Experience]: 323 / 1.000.000

\'\'I got 21 more stamina and hit 57 stamina in total,\'\' Raydon said with a grin, looking at the character panel.

\'\'Now, let\'s see what sub-skills I got. \'\' His eyes glowed with anticipation as he opened the title panel and began reading it.
